MAPLE FARM SANCTUARY, MENDON, MA
Maple Farm Sanctuary in Mendon, MA is a 501(c)3 non-profit that provides a lifelong home to farm animals that were abused, abandoned or unwanted. It promotes a vegan lifestyle and respect for all life through public and community education.
Co-owner, Jim Ezell-Vandersluis, was handed down a successful dairy farm from his family but after meeting his wife Cheri, they both experienced a profound change of heart one day after selling off their goat ‘kids’ to families for Easter dinner. Today, they provide a safe and loving sanctuary to cows, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, llamas, alpacas and more.
They remain operating thanks to the the support of the community, generous donors and many faithful, compassionate, volunteers who help with maintenance, fundraising, educational tours and all the other activites necessary to keep the animals safe, secure, happy and healthy.
It’s a truly magical place. You can learn more at Maple Farm Sanctuary.
